Screening for a Better Fit Free Webinar presented by the PBA Thursday, Feb. 25, at 7 pm, Joan Talmadge, Co-Owner of WeNeedaVacation.com, and her colleague, Elizabeth Weedon, will give a presentation to our vacation rental homeowners. They will share with us their 23 years of experience guiding homeowners to find ideal renters, with an emphasis on screening techniques, communication, laying the ground rules, and protecting yourself and your home. A Q&A session will follow the presentation. The meeting is open to the community and will be recorded for those who are not available on Thursday evening.

Summary Points for PBA Board Meetings January 2021: Connie Kickham, Security Committee, updated PBA Board on security efforts including need to re-visit policies for beach flag procedures as well as ongoing outreach to PBA rental community on beach access rules. Board discussed budget support for July 4th staffing with Mashpee PD and newly hired security company. President Bob Orsi and Board members continue to review 2021 budget for February budget meeting. Tim Gildea, Roads Committee, provided update on Uncle Edwards drainage. Project completed in January 2021. Kelly Spinard, House Committee updated on several Committee House issues including merchandise sales, basketball tournament, inside and outside activities for 2021. Elizabeth Calder, Bearse Road, voted to PBA Board of Directors. Welcome Beth. PBA Community Virtual Meeting: PBA Board participated in community-wide virtual meeting with 53 participants. During the meeting, the PBA Board updated homeowners on several security issues, enhancements for beach access proposed for 2021 and Community House issues. The PBA Board (Minutes of the PBA Board meetings are available to homeowners by request. ) PBA will introduce our new security provider, Pilgrim Security and Consulting, to the Popponesset community at an online meeting on Saturday, January 30th. Tim Norris, founder of Pilgrim, will be available to meet with us and let us know a bit about his team and plans for the coming season.
