Safety is primary for everyone using our Popponesset streets. Remember we all share the roads with pedestrians, carriages, beach carts, kids, bicycles, pets and cars! The streets are narrow, there are blind corners and they are very busy in summer. Please drive with caution and follow all rules of the road and speed limits of 15 MPH. All bike riders, including riders of electric or battery operated bikes or scooters should wear helmets and be extra careful at intersections. All motorized vehicles including golf carts must be licensed and "street legal."
