Parking in Popponesset

Picture
Roads here are narrow and we need to keep streets open to emergency vehicles, allow traffic to flow safely, and ensure that residents have access to their homes. Parking at the beaches is not permitted at anytime. Beach access is by walking in only - dropping off passengers on Popponesset Roads is also prohibited. Violators of parking rules are subject to towing.

Parking Stickers
PBA issues parking stickers annually to members who are current on their dues, fees and assessments. On-street parking in Popponesset, other than on Shore Drive, is allowed with the following provisions:
  • You may park on the street in front of your own home only
  • A current PBA parking sticker must be visible on the driver side window.
  • Two tires, at least, must be parked off the street to ensure safe passage of emergency vehicles
  • On-street parking is prohibited on Shore Drive at all times

Community House Parking
Parking at the Community House is permitted during Community House events and while using the playground or ball field. If you are having an event at your home, and your driveway or property can not accommodate your guests' vehicles, the PBA may issue passes for temporary parking at the Community House based on availability.  All such parking needs must be approved in advance by the PBA Board.  Requests for temporary parking permits must be made in advance by a PBA member in good standing (not a tenant) via email to: popponessetbeachassociation@gmail.com. Please give us at least 5 business days notice. The parking permits must be displayed on the dashboard of each vehicle and vehicles without parking passes are subject to towing.

Fishermens Landing Parking
Parking at Fishermens Landing is under the jurisdiction of Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife and is supervised by PBA and our security team. Parking is allowed, with the proper permits and PBA permission, only while using the beach for salt water fishing. For details see Fishermens Landing.
