Fishermens Landing is at the beach end of Wading Place Road and is under the jurisdiction of the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife for the use of MA permitted salt water fishermen. The Popponesset Beach Association participates in administering parking for fishermen.
Parking at Fishermens Landing
Parking at Fishermens Landing is supervised and enforced by PBA and our security team. Fishermen with a current Saltwater Fishing Permit may apply for a PBA Parking Permit by emailing their request topopponessetbeachassociation@gmail.com. You will need to send a scan of your current Saltwater Fishing Permit and provide your vehicle license and description. Allow at least 5 days for reply.
Daytime Parking Hours Between the hours of 5:00 AM to 9:30 PM, up to six cars may park at Fishermens Landing for the purpose of saltwater fishing only. A current Saltwater Fishing Permit and a PBA Parking Permit must be displayed on the dashboard. Those who do not fish, and instead use the beach for any purpose other than intended with those permits are subject to be removed from the beach and parking lot and to be towed. If the Fishermens Landing lot is full the Community House lot is not to be used for overflow daytime parking. Cars parked in the Fishermens Lot after 9:30 PM are in violation and may be towed.
Night Parking for Fishing Between 9:30 PM and 5:00 AM only, after-hours parking for a maximum of 6 permitted cars may be available at the Community House for the purpose of saltwater fishing only. Parking at the Community House is conditional depending on availability and Community House activities. Vehicles parked at the Community House that do not display a current PBA Parking Permit and Saltwater Fishing Permit will be subject to towing.
