Vista Pruning

The Mashpee Conservation Commission regulates pruning of vegetation near any water body including Dean's Pond and the Ocean.
Mashpee Conservation Commission Regulations
PBA Homeowner Notice regarding Vista Pruning:
Recently there have been some unauthorized vista prunings and snow fence installations by Popponesset homeowners. This is a reminder to all homeowners that approval is required by Mashpee Conservation Commission for all vista pruning or any work (such as trimming and/or removal of any plantings along Deans Pond or the ocean) within 50 feet of a water body or vegetated wetland, and within 100 feet of a wetland resource including coastal and inland banks. Once you have met with approval from Mashpee Conservation Commission, then contact the PBA board for approval prior to trimming along the pond or ocean.

These are not PBA rules -- these are Town of Mashpee ConCom rules. Homeowners are responsible for landscapers who perform the work, so please make them aware of the rules and regulations on your behalf. Violation of the rules by a homeowner or their agent(s) may result in fines and mitigation at owner's expense.
