Saturday, June 25, 2021 –We had a great turnout for the PBA semi-annual Homeowners Meeting at the Community House this morning.

Reports were presented by PBA committees about budget and dues collections, Community House activities, security, Deans Pond maintenance, roads and drainage, communications and beach accessibility.

We also heard from Mashpee Town Selectman Andrew Gotlieb about local water quality issues and future plans for wastewater management. Bob Hughes, representing Save Popponesset Bay, addressed us about their current progress and future plans to maintain the Spit. Barbara Reilly presented results of the 2021 PBA Survey.

Summary Points for PBA Board Meeting May 1, 2021:
  • PBA began work on boardwalk for beach access at Squaw’s Lane.
  • PBA continues working closely with the new security provider – Pilgrim Security – to prepare for 2021.  PBA Security Committee has been coordinating with Pilgrim and Mashpee town officials to ensure a safe and family friendly summer.
  • Some PBA Homeowners experienced delays in receiving bills for PBA dues. PBA Board members will meet with Mercantile Property (PBA’s billing company) to resolve the delay in mailings this month.
  • Earth Day cleanup at Dean’s Pond was a success.
  • PBA House Committee will post information on the Community House hiring process on its website

Minutes are available to PBA homeowners upon request to popponessetbeachassociation@gmail.com.

2021 Poppy "Non-Race" Sponsorship

6/10/2021

GOOD NEWS
We've come a long, hard path since last summer! Many of us are fully vaccinated and most public restrictions have been lifted. PBA is sponsoring a summer of events and activities at the Community House and we're looking forward to enjoying a wonderful summer in Poppy.

SAD NEWS
Sadly, we have had to make the choice not to hold the annual Poppy Road Race for another year. At this point not all age groups are eligible for vaccinations and numbers are still high enough to cause concern for the event. However, you can still support Popponesset events and activities by contributing to the 2021 Road Race That (Still) Never Happened!

Support PBA - Be a 2021 Poppy Non-Race sponsor!

SMILE! - PUT YOUR NAME ON THE SHIRT!
Sponsor the NON-race and get your name on the T-shirt. Contributions will go towards supporting the events and activities of Popponesset Beach Association. We did this last year and it was a great success. Download the sponsorship form here:
